6. Temporal-chain forensics

The post-hoc forensic layer may compose per-interval order-typed analyses of the evidence trail across time into an order-structured, recomputable, attributable longitudinal verdict.

Per-interval order-typed analyses. The evidence trail is partitioned into intervals — sessions, time windows, or other declared boundaries. Each interval yields an order-typed analysis produced by the analytical battery (§02a), bound to its retained per-interval recomputation witness. The per-interval recomputation witness is the §02a §5a.2 chain for that interval — including traversal witness links where governed traversal (§02a §4b) was used during that interval’s analysis; a per-interval witness that omits traversal witness links where traversal was used is structurally incomplete for that interval.

Order-structured temporal composition. The per-interval analyses are composed across the temporal sequence under the composition discipline (§02a §3a). The composition yields an order-structured longitudinal result — degradation, instability, consistency, or trend — that inherits the per-interval analyses’ soundness anchors, including traversal witness links from each interval’s chain. A longitudinal verdict produced by aggregating metrics without invoking the composition discipline does not satisfy this requirement.

Recomputability. The longitudinal verdict is recomputable: an independent inspector re-derives it from the retained per-interval recomputation witnesses and the composition, without trust in the deployment. A mismatch flags an unsound longitudinal verdict.

Attribution of the longitudinal finding. The longitudinal finding is attributed under §4 to a causal dimension as an order-typed, recomputable claim. The longitudinal finding without a causal attribution is an incomplete forensic output.

Temporal measures as recited members. Per-interval and across-interval measures — including latency-degradation, model-instability (switch frequency), output-consistency (variance), and trend-regression slope — are recited members of the temporal composition. No particular temporal measure is specified as required; the requirement is that whichever measures are used are composed under the order-governed composition discipline and contribute to a recomputable longitudinal verdict.

Temporal composition is not a distinct architecture. Composing per-interval analyses across time is an application of the §02a §3a composition discipline to the temporal dimension — not a separate composition architecture. The order-shape contract, the soundness-anchor inheritance, and the recomputation witness obligations are identical to those governing within-invocation composition; the only distinction is that the composed elements are per-interval analyses rather than per-stage battery outputs. An implementation that performs temporal composition of order-typed analyses under a different composition discipline — one that does not inherit per-interval soundness anchors or does not produce a recomputable longitudinal verdict — is not an application of this layer and is not a conforming temporal-chain forensic layer.
